I'm assuming it was a pigeon. One of those gnarly subway pigeons with the ratty feathers and club feet. But how in the world did it get into the booth? Was the door open? Did it crawl through the tiny money slot? The same money slot through which booth attendants take your money, but for some unknown reason, are not to give change back? Why can't they give you change for a god damn $5?

I've gotten free rides due to rats in the booths causing the attendant to kick it outside the booth. The nice thing was that they were able to give me change for a $5 bill.
Animal control? Really? For a pigeon? Find a broom.
