Over the last 6 years or so of living here in Philly, I've come to humbly accept many things. One of those things is that without fail, I'll see 2 or 3 of the same buses right behind each other on Walnut or Chestnut St each and every week. Above is a shot by Phillybits of, what I've come to call, The Stack: 3 SEPTA buses in a row. He was standing at 46/Spruce when he saw them coming down the street and he had his camera with him (as always).

He writes:
After waiting for about 20 minutes for the Eastbound Route #42 bus to come, these three Westbound Route #42 buses came down Spruce St., bumper to bumper at 46th St.An all too familiar scene for all Philadelphians. How many times have you seen this on the 9/12/21/42 route? I literally see this on a weekly basis walking around Center City. And it's not like all of them are full either. It would be one thing if the lead bus was packed and the second bus was picking up the next load of people [and the third one is there for what? In case of a breakdown?]. There's gotta be a better way to manage the timing of the routes.
