Reader James offers up one of those Donald Rumsfeld imponderables:
Why do all the maps say the Broad Ridge Spur connects to Spring Garden Station when it's Girard?! (And then when you finally get to the spur, there isn't any sign telling you which train on each side goes where. Someone wrote it in Sharpie on one of the pillars, but it got white washed by SEPTA officials who didn't bother putting in a sign of their own. Really?!)
Think on that for a sec.

Which maps say that? The Girard station on the Spur was closed years ago, and I don't think I've seen any maps that show a Girard station on the Spur line recently. Maybe one of the really old maps in the City Hall concourse? Or one of the outdated maps at the defunct fare booth in the exit-only mezzanine of the Race-Vine stop on the BSL?
All due respect, I don't mean to come here and contradict, but I don't see Spur connections at Girard on any of the newest maps.
What the Hell are you people talking about?
The GIRARD station on the Broad-Ridge Spur is the same station that serves the Main-Line BSL.
There is no separate Girard station. There is a separate FAIRMOUNT station for the spur that is only accessible from the Northbound local platform.
The SPRING GARDEN Station on the Spur is Closed. That station has been closed since the early 90's.
The only maps that say Spring Garden on the spur are the old maps from 1984 that get unpeeled by vandals.

How has SEPTA failed you?
