Instead of spending millions on marketing gimmicks, studies, and trading cards, how about at the very least adding change machines to all the stations that can read a $5 bill? This is great and all but they need to be investing time and money on their regular customers: commuters and people who use SEPTA as their main means of transportation.

I've lived in Chicago and NYC and DC...and now I live here.

All of them had day passes. All of them also had SAFE subway corridors with transit workers in view of the platform. (Or Dunkin Donuts IN THE STATION..!!) This made me -- as a single tiny female -- more likely to take the train at night instead of a cab. In fact, I never took cabs.

Now, I take PATCO at night, and I'm literally in a station with drunken idjits going back to Jersey. I know PATCO != SEPTA, but there's no one working down in SEPTA either at night....
